BARRY GREENSTEIN

Barry Greenstein was a small yet unassuming type, but he’s a man who doesn’t deter threats nor motivates fear. You should beware of him if you’re a player of poker. He was known as a Robin Hood in the poker, Barry is not stealing money to rich people but on the pot on fish, he keeps on doing this since his child years.

Barry Greenstein was born on a suburb of Chicago in Scottsdale Illinois. He learns playing card in a very young age. Poker, gin rum and hearts has been his choice of game, he was gifted of poker. Barry’s parents motivated him in developing the calm attitude and the deep thinking when playing these games. When he was only 12 years old he is very good in getting this into a career. Barry began to play at home game then he make round then cash up to a $50 per night.

In spite the fact he is the card shark, he was not sold out to this career being poker pro player this time. Barry grows up very happy at home having the strong sense in his integrity, he really make difference as motivated. The poker is not a game were its popularly known to have a moral standard nor have a positive effect to the life of the people. This Barry Greenstein is craving in intelligence rather than what the poker gives. After all this boy is the creator of software in his computer when he’s only about 15 years old, he has high hopes of being able to finish medicine, with an aim to cure diseases.

Barry Greenstein is an excellent student of math as well as computer. He keeps up on studies on Bogan High School at day time and he is building a bankroll during evening. Barry’s routine is not changing so much in University of Illinois, it was on Urbana-Champaign, there he got the bachelor’s degree on computer science for only 3 years, and this was along the incalculable amount in his winnings of poker.

He goes straight to the PHD course after his studies on college, which was on math then he spend his 10 years to earn the doctors degree then plays poker to build up a bankroll at the same time. Then afterwards before he complete the course, he met then marry Donna, who was now his ex-wife, she got 3 children in past relations. So as to get a full custody to those kids, his attorney suggested that get some full time job, which was not including that of gambling.

He then give up his course and the poker career to move to his family in Silicon Valley, now joining the four to begin his company, it was now well known to be Symantec. He quickly search for an excellent card room then settle in for a design in a pioneers software programming. Donna and Barry gains a custody to the children now were having 2 more during 1987-88.

In spite negotiations to clause the contract which allows him finish the PH.D he already decided to get another path. Symantec is very dependent to the skills he have so it was not giving him time to finish the doctoral degree, he already agree in staying as well as helping to finish the program of his software’s, the question and answer now he already work on.

Then during 1986 the Q&A has been named as a product of the year, it was famous to almost all industries magazines, up to now it remained as one of his best accomplishment. This success in the Q&A placed the company to become as famous software’s industries all over the world, Barry become more professional, patient, disciplined. He needs to look at the projects coming in his company to finishing it.

Through the years, Barry in California plays the no limit hold’em in a Cameo Club at the Palo Alto. This game is boosting up the pay check of Barry thus helping the family with their day to day lives. During their late 1980 Barry assist his wife due to her disease known as the multiple sclerosis, his daughter also started to suffer a problem of liver, it is very severe that they planned for a transplant in the liver.

He now started spending in the tables of poker, he returned in poker to play and then work in a plan in the starting years but this is exception on the crazy hour. The play last up to the 1990, he already quitted on Symantec. He was not able to give many of his time for the software because the money in the poker is very good, he already need the work allowing him to have so much freedom and give some time to the family, so this 36 years old, lock away the software then taking tables of poker once and for all.
